Luminys Blast Light

Although the Luminys Blast Light is primarily designed for use in vehicles during high shock testing. It has also proven to be an excellent source of portable light for External Ballistic testing. The small size of the lighting head make it easy to place anywhere around the test area.

Power is derived from a battery pack that is hardened for range use and has the capability to provide over 25 sixteen second light bursts from a single battery charge. The power pack can be located up to 30m away from the lighting head.

Luminys- 6.5k Blast

The 6.5K Blast™ is a compact, portable system that provides 6500 watts of light for high-G applications such as onboard or military use.

  • 500 G of acceleration resistance
  • Up To sixteen seconds continuous operation
  • 1,000,000 frames per second flicker-free filming
  • Highest quality light (5,400° K, 96 CRI)
  • 37,600 lux  spread 100 degrees wide  at one meter distance
  • 1 millisecond to reach full intensity
  • Remote triggering
  • 30M extension from power supply to light fixture

The luminys Blast light is compact, robust and powerful. Typically used in applications where the lighting fixtures will see high levels of shock and space for installation is at a premium. For in vehicle ballistic tests the light can be easily installed, remotely triggered with up to 16 seconds of full light exposure ensuring the complete cycle of the test inside the vehicle can be recorded. For ease of installation the Blast light uses a battery pack that is shock housed and placed up to 30M from the light head. A two second test firing allows for the set up of camera equipment without running down the batteries.
