GP High Pressure Transducer Series HPI

The extreme High pressures ranges available along with the relative immunity to high temperatures have led to the GP series of High Pressure Transducers from HPI to be used as blast gauges when the pressures experienced close in to the blast event need to be measured. Their small size and mass mean that the units can protected from the worst of the test environment whilst still gaining much needed information that previously has not been available.

No influence of temperatures up to 200°C over the entire pressure range leads to a temperature coefficient of smaller than -0.01%/°C.

Compared to Quartz Gallium Phosphate has significant advantages. The most important ones are twice the sensitivity and the thermal stability of up to 970° C.

All transducers of the GP Series are front sealing types, having the same outer dimensions with M10 x 1mm thread and are compatible with existing NATO measuring bores. Charge amplifiers and standard cables for piezoelectric transducer measurements can be used.

The result is a family of three sensors with measuring ranges of up to 200, 600, and 800 MPa.
