B292UR EPVAT Receiver Unit

The HPI 292UR EPVAT Receiver (Electronic Pressure Velocity Action Time) fulfils the NATO Specifications AC/225 (Panel III-SP1) D/200. It is suitable for measurement of gas pressure curves, interior ballistic times as well as for measurements of projectile velocities and precision tests of rifle- pistol and revolver ammunition up to Calibre .600.

NATO calibres 5.56 x 45mm, 9 x 19mm, 7.62 x 51mm and 1/2 inch can be tested as well as specific test barrels for rifle, pistol and revolver ammunition according to C.I.P or SAAMI specifications of up to .60 can be tested.

Electro-magnetic firing device:

The electromagnetic firing device is an essential requirement for the safe operation of the HPI 292UR EPVAT Receiver. It allows for remote controlled firing and can be integrated into your laboratories safety system. The 2906P power supply integrates up to four remote control and 2906E trigger magnets.

Insulated Firing Pin:

The start or trigger signal of the measurement occurs exactly when the firing pin touches the primer. Only with this technique is a reliable and accurate measurement of the “Action Time” or t4 possible.

Adjustable Head Space:

By the combination of an adjusting ring located in the receiver and head space gauges an exact setup of the head space can be achieved.
