B251 IPG: One major requirment for manufacturers, researchers and users of large calibre ammunition across the World and within NATO is to acuurately measure the gas pressure without any adaptation to the gun. The calssical methods for pressure measurements of large calibre ammunition are still by means of copper crushers or by piezoelectric transducers mounted in the breech or barrel or with cartiridge case adapators. Requiring external charge amplifiers, sensitive piezo cables and data processing systems. The 3rd generation B251 IPG from HPI meets the new requirements and features simpler, faster and autonomous operation with an intergrated charge amplier, onboard memory combined with high accuracy and safety. The B251 IPG has proven so popular within NATO it is now Nato Stock Numbered: NSN 6635-17-117-3654.
